Clement Windows
Newsletter: September 2022
Welcome to our September newsletter. We trust you are well and enjoyed the summer months.
At Clement we have been working on a number of high profile commercial projects recently and in this newsletter we are pleased to showcase our work at the newly refurbished Waltham Forest Town Hall. We manufactured over two hundred new W20 steel windows for the project and we hope you will agree that it is looking absolutely marvellous! So far, we have spotted the project on at least two magazine covers and are hoping there will be more to come. You will find a link to the case study below.
Did you know that Clement offer various options if you have a requirement for fire rated steel doors or screens? Do get in touch if you would like more information. Last year we supplied fire rated doors to City of London Freemen's School, we look forward to including it in a future newsletter, but for now you can read the case study here.
PAS24 is a security standard that can only be achieved after a product has been thoroughly tested and assessed for high security performance levels. We are proud to report that a number of our products including EB20, EB24, W20 and W40 can now be offered with this specification. Please get in touch if you would like to learn more.
Frequently we are being asked to manufacture steel windows and doors in alternative colours. This is no problem for us as we can offer our products in an array of different colours and finishes. One of our recent residential projects was an incredible Grade II* property built in 1932 by renowned architects Connell, Ward and Lucas. The new, bespoke steel windows and doors were all painted with RAL 5024 (Pastel Blue) matt to match the originals – the results are stunning and you can read more below.
If you have a traditional or listed property and require roof windows, Clement Conservation Rooflights are the perfect choice. Available in different profiles to suit your roof type, they will lie beautifully flush and complement your home. There are eight different sizes in our standard range, but if they don't suit your exact requirements we can provide you with a bespoke product. Also, as well as offering side hung escape rooflights as a stock product, we can now offer top hung escape versions too. Please talk to a member of our Sales Team for more information.
RIBA's CPD Provider Hours mean that you can take advantage of free, RIBA-approved CPD without even leaving your office. Our next CPD Hour is on the 17th October, please let us know if you are interested and we will get you booked in. Alternatively, if you can't attend, we can organise a digital CPD for your office over Microsoft Teams; you will find more information on our website.
As always, we hope that you will be informed and inspired ...
New Clement steel windows for Grade II listed town hall Pastel blue steel windows and doors for 'Modernist' house Need Conservation Rooflights? You know who to call!
New Clement steel windows for Grade II listed town hall
The early 20th century saw the development of a distinct architectural movement often termed 'Stripped Classicism'. Grade II listed Waltham Forest Town Hall is perhaps the best known example of this type of architecture in the UK. Clement was chosen to manufacture the new steel windows for the building required as part of a major renovation.
Pastel blue steel windows and doors for ‘Modernist’ house
This home is a rare example of the Modernist Movement in architecture. Described at the time as 'more like an invention by Picasso than a house' the building was revolutionary and divided opinion. Steel windows and doors from the Clement EB20 range were manufactured and polyester powder coated in a matt Pastel Blue.
