This terraced family home in Fulham has been reconfigured and extended in order to maximise space.
Having worked with Clement Windows Group previously, Ade Architecture specified a Clement steel screen for the rear extension. As well as an interior steel partition replacing a wall between the newly configured office and hallway, there is also a single steel glazed door leading to the open plan kitchen. The use of steel and glass throughout the ground floor introduces an abundance of natural light and really opens up the space.
The bespoke external screen was made from the Clement EB24 range, which offers space for a 24mm unit. The client chose Sunguard Superneutral 70/41 for the 6mm outer pane. This is a coated glass product that offers very high natural light transmission while ensuring energy savings and solar protection and was combined with a 14mm argon gas cavity and a 4mm low iron inner pane.
The Clement W20 range was used for the internal doors. Here, Pyroswiss 30 minute integrity glass was chosen for increased fire safety.
All the doors include genuine T bars and were polyester powder painted in ‘on trend’ shade Anthracite Grey.
