Clement’s standard range of rooflights are top hung, but we are also able to offer side hung fire/escape rooflights for projects where these are required.
Available as left- or right-hand options, the escape rooflights are fitted with gas struts for emergency use.
The side hung Conservation Rooflight will require a brass or chrome hand winder. Using this winder you will be able to open and close the rooflight as normal. For the escape mechanism to work you will need to release the pin on the winder and this will allow the window to open to 90 degrees.
Please note that escape rooflights are not designed for continuous full opening on a regular basis.
