Clement Conservation Rooflights for a Slate Roof

The Clement Conservation Rooflight is a reproduction of a Victorian original and is regularly specified by Architects and Conservation Officers for Listed Buildings and heritage projects due to its good looks and great performance.

As far as we are aware, Clement is the only company to offer a Conservation Rooflight, or skylight as they are sometimes known, specifically for a slate roof. Our slate rooflight is easy to install and will lie flat against your roofline in keeping with the character of your property. The flush fitting roof light for a slate roof is also recommended for other roof types of a similar thickness, such as shingle and thatch, where a lower depth of frame is required.

Clement’s slate profile rooflight is available in seven standard top hung sizes and also as a side hung escape rooflight, all painted in RAL 9005 Deep Black (matt). Top hung escape rooflights are also available as a bespoke option. If any of the usual sizes and/or the colour do not suit your requirements, bespoke rooflights are also available.

Our rooflights are typically fitted with insulated, self-cleaning glass units, argon gas filled, with integral weather stripping, achieving all round high performance and an A+ Window Energy Rating with the BFRC. They are made to ISO 9001 by skilled workers who have many years’ experience working with steel and glass.

Our rooflights have been rigorously tested, achieving fantastic results at roof pitches between 20-70°. If your roof pitch does not fall within this range please contact us and we will advise you on the best option.

Certain projects require rooflights to be positioned next to each other. This is no problem as long as you have supporting rafters.

Generally Clement rooflights are available from stock, so delivery can be quick – between three and five working days. However, if you require your rooflight sooner, we can usually arrange this for you.

Please note that we do not recommend our rooflights for marine environments within five miles of the coast. If in doubt, please contact us.
