The Clement team and guests marked ten years of sponsorship of the Building Awards, celebrating with the great and the good of the UK construction industry at last night’s ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
The event was hosted by comedian Dara Ó Briain and attended by around 1,000 people, with 22 awards being announced in total, including Contractor of the Year (up to £500m) which was sponsored by Clement Windows Group.
From a shortlist of three, Kori Construction beat Britcon UK and Speller Metcalfe to scoop the prize.
The later living specialists saw an exceptional year of growth in 2024, handing over five projects all completed on or ahead of programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. 98% of waste was diverted from landfill and and the company pioneered circular economy solutions by reusing more than 16,000 tonnes of materials. Kori boasts outstanding staff engagement, with an employee Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 84, and exceptional client satisfaction, achieving a customer NPS of 64 and multiple Considerate Constructors Scheme awards. It has been named one of the fastest-growing companies in the Midlands and East of England by the UK Fast Growth Index and has featured in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work.
In 2024, Kori delivered a 27% reduction in accidents, achieving a RoSPA Gold Award, and generated £13.7m in social value. Through the Kori Community Fund and volunteering initiatives, the team supported 14 community projects, engaged over 10,000 young people through schools outreach and raised nearly £20,000 for charity.
