New Clement MW40 Steel Windows

November 8th, 2023

At Clement Windows Group, we’ve recently added information about our MW40 steel window range to the website.  The MW40 range offers a similar profile to W40 but allows for a larger glazed unit to be included, making the range ideal for large commercial schemes where steel windows have been specified.

Features of the MW40 range include:

  • Insulated glass units up to a maximum thickness of 30mm
  • Multi point locking to BS 7950 or traditional single point locking
  • Various glazing options
  • Supplied shaped, with shaped heads, or ‘curved on plan’
  • Produced from 98% recycled steel source material

MW40 windows at the India Buildings, Liverpool

Clement has manufactured and installed bespoke steel windows from the MW40 range at the India Buildings in Liverpool.

This Grade II* Listed Building is located on Water Street in the centre of Liverpool’s business district.  In 2017, Legal & General purchased the building and it was announced that HMRC would base a regional office there.  Renovation works commenced and Clement was selected to produce the new double glazed metal windows which needed to provide a match to the original windows while at the same time improving thermal performance and energy use within the building.  Almost 1,000 windows were manufactured in total.
