Steel window colour trends for 2019

January 16th, 2019

As we enter 2019, it seems the trend for steel window frames and screens is set to continue. Able to blend seamlessly with both modern and period interior schemes, the choice to add steel windows or screens to your home or workplace introduces a timeless character that is easy to blend or mix up with fresh interior design to make a statement.

However, not everyone is aware of the option to choose steel windows, screens and doors in a coloured finish. At Clement, our windows can be supplied in a wide choice of colours, from the popular classic range to the colour of your choosing, to best match your interior design.

Here we’ve put together a list of some of our favourite examples where colour is used in line with some of the key home décor trends for 2019.

Steely blues for a creative spin on the industrial look

As interiors with an industrial edge survive and evolve into 2019, steel windows and screens are an obvious selection to complement the trend in any residential or commercial setting. Just like this combination of steel sections in anthracite grey that we created for Bert & May, seen in the image above, the blue tones of this colour add a creative edge to an industrial space and act as an attractive counterpart to plants, greenery and different wood textures.

Muted grey window frames blending with spring’s soft pastel trend

As winter tails into the early signs of spring, interior experts are predicting gentle colour palettes of hushed greys, blush pinks, fawn tones and sage greens to bring a soft update to the long-favoured Nordic trend. We think our semi-gloss grey powder coating, like on this home in Surrey, makes the perfect backdrop for the look. With the option to choose a different colour finish for your window interior, you can still make a stylish statement without committing to a bold shades inside and out.

Timeless black metal windows against deep plums and gold

Of course, you can never go wrong with a timeless black finish to add a touch of elegance to your home. Paired with this season’s trend for deep colours, plush textures and luxurious surfaces, the black finish, pictured here at a home in London’s Hyde Park, cuts through decadent interiors to bring a rounded, understated finish.

Expect to see more deep colours, plush textures and luxurious surfaces in 2019.
