Clement Steel Windows Feature in Award Winning Project!

We are delighted to share that our client, Hobson & Porter, has won a prestigious award for its work on the Horizon Youth Zone in Grimsby.

The project has been named the region’s Best Refurbishment and Revitalisation Project at this year’s Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Awards. It will now progress to the RICS national awards, taking place in London in October.

The Youth Zone has also received recognition from the architectural community. John Puttick Associates, the project’s architects, have announced that the Horizon Youth Zone is a finalist in the Architects’ Journal Retrofit & Reuse Awards 2026. The awards celebrate architectural expertise and ingenuity in the physical and environmental adaptation of buildings, with winners to be announced at a ceremony in September.

The Horizon Youth Zone involved a complex mix of restoration, rebuilding and new construction, reimagining a series of Grade II listed Victorian warehouses into a vibrant destination for young people across the area.

Given the historical importance of the buildings, it was imperative that the replacement steel windows were of the highest quality while remaining sympathetic to the original design. Clement was chosen as the right manufacturers for the project, delivering fenestration that complemented the character and heritage of the buildings.
