The Civic Trust Awards scheme was established in 1959 to recognize outstanding architecture, planning and design in the built environment. The scheme is not just about rewarding architecture or design excellence, however, but supports a belief that successful projects should also exhibit strong sustainability credentials and a high level of accessible and universal design, as well as providing a positive civic contribution.
The winners of the Civic Trust Awards were celebrated at a ceremony held on 31st March 2023 in the Great Hall of the Marshall Building at the London School of Economics. Following a rigorous multi-stage assessment process, 62 projects were rewarded from over 250 national and international entries.
