More glass, slim frames

According to Builder Online[1], designers, architects and builders are beginning to see an increase in windows that take prominence, including floor-to-ceiling windows and those that emphasise a greater expanse of glass within slimmer frames. One of our favourite examples is this magnificent two storey steel screen from the Clement EB24 window range within this South West London home.

And, emphasising this craze for more glass and maximising levels of natural light, corner windows are having a moment in design right now. Our Clement EB24 range, here in dark grey, enabled stunning views out to the garden at this private residence in London.

Interior design trends

Dark hues continue to rule

As we highlighted in our trend forecast earlier in the year, dark hues such as black, steely blues and grey have stood strong throughout most interior looks, adding a touch of timelessness, simplifying a scheme, or even providing a bold statement which contrasts with other interior touches.

We’re big fans of the 2019 update on neutrals, with contrasting darker shades bringing a dramatic edge to classic styles, plus industrial touches, mixing woods and metals to create a variety of interesting textures.

The all-natural look

Natural influences are very much at the forefront of interior design right now, with a surge in the use of rattan, wicker and jute materials and furnishings to complement splashes of greenery and plant life. As the trend develops, we’re expecting to see these features incorporated with woven textures and 70’s inspired colours to add warmth and vibrance into the colder months – think forest green, mustard yellow and burnt orange.
