July 18th, 2026

When it comes to replacing windows in Listed Buildings or properties located within Conservation Areas, choosing the right company to guide you through the process is essential. Clement Windows Group has extensive experience working with Conservation Officers and Planners and we are always happy to support clients throughout every stage of a project, from initial consultation through to completion.

Our steel windows and steel doors are carefully designed to match the appearance of original fenestration in heritage projects while offering benefits that you would expect from a modern product. They retain the slim, elegant and robust frames traditionally associated with steel windows, while offering enhanced thermal efficiency, improved security, reduced maintenance requirements and exceptional longevity.

Clement Conservation Rooflights are modern reproductions of original Victorian windows. They are often specified by architects and Conservation Officers for Listed Buildings. Achieving a BFRC Window Energy Rating of A+, Clementis the only company to provide two profiles for different roofing types, ensuring a flush finish.

Over the years Clement has worked on a wide range of Listed Buildings, including both commercial and residential properties. Below are a few examples of some of our most recent projects.

Leper hospitals were established in Medieval England to care for people with leprosy, with around 300 in existence by the 13th century. This property was once part of a monastic leprosy hospital managed by St Werburgh’s Abbey in Chester and is a rare example of a timber-framed monastic building. It was awarded Grade II* listed status in 1984.

The owners have carefully refurbished and extended the building, creating a beautiful family home while preserving its historic character.

Clement supplied a range of steel windows and doors tailored to the project’s requirements. At the front, SMW steel windows replicate the appearance of the originals, while at the rear, Clement’s EB20 windows and W40 steel doors maximise natural light and views across the grounds.

The project also included Clement Conservation Rooflights in a tile profile for a flush fit with the traditional roof, complete with chrome pole winders for easy operation.
