At Clement, our steel windows, doors & screens, and conservation rooflights are often featured in interiors magazines and industry journals, included as part of a larger feature on the residential home or commercial building.
We’re always thrilled to see our products and projects in print, so here we’ve rounded up some of our favourite and recent press features.
Featuring a project by Ade Architecture using a four-metre height steel-framed screen by Clement Windows, this article in Grand Designs Magazine guides you through all the different window types to suit the style of your home. Our symmetrical screen with double door and 16mm insulated glass units were used in a rear extension, to bring light and uninterrupted views from the garden to the kitchen.

Clement’s made to measure black steel doors and windows from the W20 range were used in a project by our client, One 17 Design, for this contemporary outdoor space in the grounds of a West Yorkshire property. The project was featured in an article on ’10 Live-work homes’, in Grand Designs Magazine, which looks at the rise in home working and home office design.

Featured in an article in The English Home entitled “Space and Light”, our EB24 range of black steel doors was chosen for a London home renovation, perfect for introducing more daylight into the space and creating a seamless indoor/outdoor link.

With the article supplied courtesy of de Gournay, these stunning coloured steel doors were selected for the home of Hannah Cecil Gurney, a director at de Gournay and daughter of the interiors company founder, and was featured in Architectural Digest Middle East. The doors are from Clement’s EB24 exterior and interior doors range with G+ system, and feature FA3006 Chelsea handles in imperial bronze unlacquered finish.

A case study for the 1930s Grade II*-listed India Buildings in Liverpool featured in Architects’ Journal. Clement Windows Group was asked to manufacture and install the new double glazed MW40 steel windows to match the original single glazed metal windows, and improve thermal performance and energy use within the historic building. Almost 1,000 windows were specified, polyester powder painted in RAL 9016 (White).

The article, entitled “One of a kind”, highlights how homeowner Lisa O’Hagan chose bespoke Clement floor to ceiling glass and steel doors for her East London period property, to perfectly link the front and back of the house and flood the space with light. The glass and steel doors were manufactured from Clement EB24 steel sections. Lisa and her husband Jon chose to have one feature double door with screens above and below, and a pair of double doors for another exit into the garden.

‘Let the Light In’ is the title of the article, which focuses on the beautiful Arts and Crafts home of interior designer Anne-Marie Leigh. The designer chose Clement’s EB16 leaded steel windows to replace the original metal windows at the property in Surrey. The new slim framed steel windows are in keeping with the original architecture and offer improved thermal performance.

Lee Thornley, Founder and Creative Director at Bert & May, handmade tile specialists, chose a series of Clement steel door screens to divide areas within his new home in Yorkshire.
The kitchen and living area was designed to make the most of the natural light, achieved by using the steel framed doors to partition rooms. The series of three steel doors in a row not only creates a stunning feature but allows the light to flow through the ground floor.

We were thrilled to see a project we worked on for homeowners Mark and Georgie Rowse featured not only on the cover, but also across a 10 page article ‘Barn to be Wild’ in House & Garden‘s July 2021 issue. Mark and Georgie chose Clement EB24 steel windows and doors for their latest house, a 19th century barn in Oxfordshire.

Bringing light and personality to shoe designer Jacqueline’s Edwardian home, Clement’s steel doors and windows were used to connect the kitchen to the outside space at this north London property. Jacqueline’s home featured in the ‘Real home’ article.

Clement steel doors and windows were chosen to complement a retro kitchen extension on this property in Ashtead, Surrey. The home featured in Real Homes magazine and is a beautiful example of transforming a Victorian home with contemporary features.

A fully glazed wall of Clement’s steel windows and doors featured in Real Homes magazine’s article, as part of the transformation of a five-bedroom Victorian house in Bristol. Described as functional and aesthetic the glazing helps give the contemporary kitchen extension an industrial feel.
